21/7 ~ FridayWe're gng to ROME TODAY!! YIPEE! Well, sis suggested we'd go away 4 the weekend so asked me where i'd like to go n oso check if dere's any promotions 4 the wkend. My love 4 Europe is always 1) London n 2) Rome. So, of course i say Rome. n initially she can't get a cheap air tix to rome de, but den found an online agency who gt cheap tix to rome. Today, i no need to go work, cuz i only work mon to thurs. So today i slept in late and woke up arnd 2pm. had some instant noodles n slack all afternoon. At arnd 5pm, sis said she wanted to do some groceries shopping, so i went wif here juz in case i wanna buy anything. As we were abt to leave, Bro called saying he's coming back frm work. So sis said to wait 4 him in case he wanted to join us. When he come back, he dun wanna go, cuz he wanna go running. So sis n i go. @ supermarket, she asked me wan to go see anything, i said yes, cuz i gt nth to buy @ supermarket. den i set an hr timing n we went separate ways.
i walked arnd, n saw a sorta shoe factory, n went in. i wanted to look 4 some nice boots as well as a pair of court shoes. so, i looked arnd n saw a pair of boots tat i wanted. tried it on n decided to buy it. Den went on to look 4 court shoes. i wanted high heels, n front is long one, but can't find any cuz it's either too high, or too low, finally i found a pair similiar to wat i wan, so i bought it.
Can't believe i spent almost an hr in the store. when i left it's like 10 mins to an hr. So i went back to the supermarket to wait 4 sis. who noes she might be early. as i gt dere, she's nt dere, so i went in to get a bottle of drink. she was outside when i paid my purchases. i wanted a cake, so we went back in and bought a pc of cake. deir cake is nt the cake we have in S'pore. it's sort of a pastry. After tat, we went back, n found Bro had already come back frm running n he's taking a bath. As our flight is @ nite, sis suggested we get sth light cuz when we reach Rome, it's already like midnight. sis cooked noodles 4 herself, while bro ate bread. of course i ate the cake i just bought.
My luggage was already packed the nite b4, n in the afternoon i'm double checking if i left out any. While sis n bro.... ha ha ha..... dey still haven't pack! it's already like 7:30pm n dey r nt packed yet! we're suppose to leave latest @ 8:30pm. Our flight is @ 10pm. so after dinner, dey were like in battle like tat, rush here, rush dere. while i stayed in my room, doin nth. den abt time, i took my luggage (which is my backpack) outside n wait 4 em, n dey're still nt pack! when dey're finally ready, it's already like 8:50pm. we need arnd 30 mins to reach the airport n another 10 to find a parking lot. by the time we checked in, it's like 9:40pm.
sis n bro wanted to go the the biz lounge to sit down, but i dun wan, so i went 4 a walk. we agreed to meet @ the gate @ 9:55pm, which is the boarding time. Aft tat, we board the plane, n as it's rather empty, n i mean like arnd 50% empty. we managed to sit together in a row. dunno y the staff dun put us at the same row in the middle. she separated us. HaHa. Anyway, we sat together in the same row.
**Incident on plane**
Dere's a guy, i named Act Punk, he's acting like a punk rock, but is nt lor, sitting in the same row as me, but by the window. n dere's a couple i named B for the guy, A for the gal, dey're sitting in front of Act Punk.
B4 the plane took off, dey normally announce things like all electronic items to switch off blah blah, sth like tat, den B took out his Sony Walkman Phone n listened to mp3. the Act Punk saw it n told him to turn it off, but dey didn't hear him as B is listening to his mp3, while A is sleeping.
ok, nvm, halfway thru the flight, a phone rang. i hihgly suspect is belong to B de lor, n the Act Punk is rather put off by it. n he complain to the air stewardess. the air stewardess go tell B, but B say he only listening to mp3, so air stewardess did nth.
Den, when nearing Rome, the same announcement again, den B still listening, n Act Punk really pissed off n told B off. n B is pissed off too n told Act Punk to shut up. den dose 2 lost it n began to argue. B kept telling Act Punk to shut up n he kept on gng scolding n scolding. finally Act Punk go complain to air stewardess n she did told B to switch off n B did, but Act Punk still nt happy n kept on talking n scolding n talking n scolding. den i tink B challenged him to a fight, n he somehow stopped talking. When the plane landed n was parking, Act Punk quickly stood up n took his luggage frm the overhead compartment n dashed to the front. i went forward as well, n was a couple behind Act Punk n i overheard him telling another air stewardess tat B told him to stay behind n fight.
i saw Act Punk @ the gate, when i was waiting 4 sis n bro, he's...i dunno how to say him... he's like a bit ji xin zi, like scared cannot get on plane like tat. n when i saw him on the plane, he's like 1st time take plane like tat, kept fidgeting n u noe like everything is new to him like tat. n i feel lke he's a bit kaypo lor.
Oh Well, lucky he gt no baggage checked in, n he can fly when he gt out of plane. HaHa...
When we go out, the airport is like deserted like tat, no ppl one, quite leng qing. sis hired a car b4 leaving to get us to hotel. n as we're nearing the hotel, we went past Roman Forum n Colosseum. It was VERY VERY beautiful @ nite. Sis say we're sight-seeing @ nite. We stayed in Hotel Rex. N u noe wat? I'm HAVING A ROOM TO MYSELF!! YEAH!! But, the room's pretty small thou. it's a singles bedroom, with a single bed. the tv is very small too, n the toilet is super small too. the shower area ah, super zai lor. n u noe wat? it's a 4 star hotel. n the room costs 220 EUR per nite!my god!!! such a small room need 220 EUR. it's arnd S$440 lor. i tink ah, it's only as big as my room only lor.
22/07 ~ Saturdaytoday meet up @ 9:30 am, n started our day of walking. Went to Vatican City, where St. Peter's church is. The curch is Magnificient! Then we walk to a nearby cafe to sit down n relax. I had an ice-cream which cost 8EUR, which is S$16 bucks! and oh! tell u sth, dere's a lot, n i mean A LOT of pickpockets n theives in Italy. So when u make payment, make sure the money go to the waitress, n when u put it @ the table 4 the waitress, make sure u have @ least 1 eye on it, or else, the thief might juz grab n took the money away.
Aft tat we walk to Castel Sant' Angelo. When u go in, the 1st impression i saw is, it looked like Helms Deep frm LoTR... HaHa... But, we only went to the gate, didn't go up, cuz need entrance fee n need to climb. Too tiring. Den we started to cross the river n go to a restaurant to have lunch. It's a pasta restaurant dunno where recommended n bro n sis found. We walk thru tiny streets n when we reached, it's closed! Well, nt only us lor, still gt ppl go dere n find it weird tat dey r closed lor.
Den we wanted to walk out to main streets n try find 1 cafe near Piazza Navona. while trying to get out frm the tiny streets, dere's a car moving in our direction. It's a very very tiny street, n dere's cars parked by the side, dere's nt enough space le lor, some more the car very big leh, den i tried to walk faster to the gap btwn 2 cars parked n let the car thru, but cant make it in time n i walk btwn the parked car n the moving car. den the side mirror hit my stomach. the driver is quite angry lor, n my sis oso angry lor, the passers-by all tink is my fault lor, crazy. the mirror only closed shut only mah, dey tink i make spoil the mirror. SIAO! if it's anyone's fault, it the driver's lor. she hit my stomach leh. I shld be the one complaining leh. CRAZY BITCH! den my sis angry de say it's only a mirror n it's the driver's fault.
den out on the main street, sis suggested we go to another recommended place, but tat place served a lot of food. Full course meal lor. cannot pick. deir full course meal is like 6 or 7 course meal leh. tat's too much food lor n bro n i cannot eat tat much so we go find others. we walked past another restaurant, n we find the menu ok, den we go in. Had Cabonara n it taste really good. Zeng zhong Italian food. HaHa....
Den we go to Piazza Navona n the market. den we proceed towards the Pantheon n den the most famous Fontana di Trevi! dere'sa rumour tat says if you wanna go back to Rome, you sit back face the fountain n tossed a coin, n u'd go back to Rome. i did tat n well, fingers-cross, i'd go back again... HaHa... Den we went to a place which i wanna go. The Time Elevator. It's a 3D cinema tat shows the history of Rome. it's very interesting lor, i'd recommend everyone to go try it. HaHa... dere's a part where dere's mice ran up the pants of the guyin the show, we can feel it.. Haha... we can actually felt the tickleness on the mice running up your legs. HaHa....
After tat, we go to an ice cream shop, a famous ince cream shop to have ice cream. dere's 4 sizes, s,m,l,xl. we bought a m size, 2 flavours. den went outside to eat. bro finished 1st n find it very nice, he went back in again to get another one. it cost 2.50 eur 4 tat cup size, n bro ate 5 eur (S$10) worth of ice cream within 5 mins. sis said he's crazy. haha...
Aft tat we walk to the Spanish Steps n the shopping streets nearby. After we're done, we took a Metro (underground train, like MRT) back to Hotel to take a shower b4 heading 4 dinner. Dinner place oso another recommended place n bro had booked a place in the morning.After i had a shower, i requested to go to Hard Rock first as i wanna buy some t-shirts. Den we made our way to the dinnerplace which is nearby. After dinner, we walked back towards hotel n during the way, we bought some mineral water 4 tml's consumption.
23/07 ~ Sunday
We'll be gng to the Colosseum n the Roman Forum!!! Slept in today n meet up arnd 10am. Den took a Metro to colosseum. joined a guide who took us round the colosseum. i didn't finished the walk as i'm supposed to meet sis n bro outside @ 12.15pm, n by the time i got in, it's like 11:45am. dere's a long queue n we need to queue up to pass security check n entrance. entrance is easier cuz the tour guide bought tix 4 us. i only reached the top part n the guide juz finished talking abt the history of the colosseum, i have to leave, n i'm 15 mins late. i walked thru the way i gt up, n the exit very funny one. u have to go all the way to the entrance n go back into the colosseum n walk half way round it to the exit. Aft tat, we went back to hotel to take a shower. it's a shame i didn't go to the roman forum, where the ruins of the ancient rome is. Haiz... if u wan go in, u'll need a guide, n dere's no time 4 me. cuz we need to get back to hotel n check out b4 2pm. supposed to be noon one, but sis called n asked 4 a late check out, cuz dey wan to take a shower b4 gng to airport.
After we checked out, we deopsit our luggage @ the hotel's luggage room n went out 4 lunch. bro wanted to go back to the place where we have dinner the previous nite, but sis dun wan. N as most of the restaurant either r closed or only open 4 lunchtime, so it's quite hard to find 1 tat is nice. But... heh heh, as we walk further down to dinnerplace, we saw 1 restaurant tat quite a number of ppl go in, so we look at the menu n find it nt bad, so we go in n eat. After tat, sis n bro said dey wanted to have ice cream again, n we go have it again. the same famous shop. dis time, sis n bro bought a L size one, wif 3 flavours, n i bought the same M size, 2 flavours. Aft tat, we go back to the hotel n took our luggage n took a train to the airport. Nope, nt the metro, is a cross country train. n to mention, it's very near our hotel too. when we bought the tix, we're too late 4 the train, so we decided to wait 4 another one. meanwhile, we went to a sth like kopitiam n sit down 4 sth to drink. wat i saw in dere is very cute.dere's ppl eating watermelon, n it is how dey eat tat's very cute. the serving size is a quarter slice. still ok u might say, but let me tell ya, deir watermelon is oblong shape, cut into 4 slice. n dey use a knife n fork to eat. how dey eat, dey treat the watermelon like a chicken cutlet or a pork chop n cut n eat. interesting eh? haha.... oh well, when we finished our drink, we went to check the timing 4 the nxt train, n we still have like more dan half an hr to get to the station. but u noe wat? we NEED more dan half an hr to get to the station! y the hell do dey use tat station? can't dey use other station tat's nearer? haiz..... it's sooooo out of the way! when we reach dere, the train's almost full, we can't get a section to ourselves, so no choice we have to share. n we managed to get on the train @ the last min.During the ride, it's soooo hot which made me tink if the air conditioner is spoilt. n the funny thing is, dere's no conductor to check our tix. when we alight, we den realise tat we might need to punch it ourselves.anyway, when we gt to the airport, we still have like 2 hrs to spare after checking in. so we go in, n shop around. as usual, we split up n i go around myself. when i finished walking, i realise i still have like 1 1/2 hr to spare, so i go up to a cafe to sit down n have some drink. i bought a pudding, a bowl of watermelon n a can of pepsi n sit down to read a book. den sis called me to notify me of the change of gate, n when it's abt time, i go down to meet em having to realise dey're already @ the gate waiting 4 me, n sis tot i might lost my way, she called me again.~~~~~Oh well, tat's my trip to Rome. thou i find it too short but it's really fun nonetheless. :) i hope to go back again n hopefully a bit longer. N i wish i'd go dere wif my lover, cuz it's a very romantic place. hehe.... :$
Movie - Pirates of the Carribean

Watched the movie yesterday 11/08/2006, wif my sister. Totally LOVE it!! it's a very good show. very funny too... HeHeHe... but very exciting too....
I love the part where all the crew members were being locked up in a cage on a deserted island, n dey have to swing to get to the rocks. I totally love it, n the music is oso very cute. or shld i say the scene with tat music is very funny...HAHA....The show got funnier as it went on... the part where the 3 men were fighting on the cart wheel is very funny too. But, I have 2 qns thou. How many times Orlando have to faint? n How many times Orlando have to be rolled downhills?
I've realised Orlando was being ounched from the back n he fainted quite a lot of times. N remember him being locked up in a cage with other crew members, when he tried to run away from the inhabitants, dey have to roll the cage downhill, and @ certain stage, dey have to carry the cage n run. the 2nd time is tat he is fighting on a wheelcart and in a stage, he tried to get the key n went into the wheelcart n lost footing n being rolled downhills too? how many time does he need to do tat? hmmm....
But, in a way, he's quite funny too thou... HeHeHeHe.... anyway, in dis movie, Johnny Depp have become more handsome, n charming. Ooh.... he's soooooooo ying jun xiao sa..... HeHeHeHe.....
U noe, in Johnny Depp's movie career, his rules is tat he never accept a sequel of a certain movie he did. Pirates is the 1st movie did accepted a sequel. I guess he must really like the character Captain Jack Sparrow a lot ba.....
oh! speacking of Captain Jack Sparrow. I suddenly remember tat @ the beginning of the show, when Will and Elizabeth were being arrested, the head said Jack Sparrow, both Will n Elizabeth said "Captain!" together. tat's finny when u tink back to the 1st movie, when Jack Sparrow keeps saying the same thing.... when anyone didn't say Captain Jack, he'd always correct em by saying "Captain, Captain Jack Sparrow."
OH! and the baddie frm the 1st movie, he's nt DEAD!!!! he had been residing @ the sorceress' hut all dis time. N he reappeared when the gang (w/o) Captain Jack visited the sorceress again. OOH........ 2 baddies in the 3rd movie. wat will happened eh? Oh no, nt 2 baddies, is 2 baddie pirates n 1 baddie governor!!! 3 baddies altogether!
when the movie's over, n the credits come out, my sis asked me if i wan to stay behind to see if dere's anything @ the back..... we kept saying tat dere better be or else it's a waste of 3 mins sitting dere. Well, we're nt disappointed after all.. HaHa
@ the end, it show the dog which was left behind at the deserted island. The dog became the "God" and he sat @ the chair with a bone in it's mouth, n the people were praying at him....HaHaHaHaHa...... i love dis movie. soooo funny n exciting! i can't wait 4 the 3rd part! Oooooh, my dear Johnny Depp...... aaaahhhh....... Die, i tink i mi shang him le...... HAHA.....
